Today, One of Coos Counties’ own earned the highest Honor that a Boy Scout can earn. Jared Cape of Whitefield sat before a Board of Review and demonstrated his drive, knowledge and perseverance and was awarded his rank of Eagle. This Honor is realized by only an average of 1 out of every 10,000 boys and we are extremely proud of Jared’s accomplishment! A Court of Honor will be scheduled at the earliest possible convenience so that all who will be taking part in this ceremony can bestow this honor of rank upon Jared! As a side note, Jared is the first Boy Scout of Troop 219 to earn his Eagle Scout Rank in the past 37 years and he is also graduating as Valedictorian of his class at WMRHS…This young man has it happening!
